Maudlyn's extensive experience spans working with renowned organisations like the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Ghana's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She serves as Ghana's Delegate and UN Women UK's Delegate to the UN Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations. Additionally, she holds board memberships, and her expertise has also been sought after at international events such as TEDx, panels, and conferences. Her advocacy has garnered accolades like the 40 Under 40 Young Influential and Accomplished Leader in the UK, Excellence in Community Development Award, and People's Choice Award.
Maudlyn holds a master's in Project Management from the University of Salford Manchester, UK, where she received the prestigious Alumni Rising Star Award. Her other qualifications include degrees in Sociology and Political Studies, an Executive MBA, and a Diploma in French Language Studies. Guided by an unwavering commitment to personal growth, Maudlyn Akosua Awuku has honed her exceptional leadership abilities. Her passion for empowering women and youth as changemakers is not just a profession, but a deeply ingrained part of her identity. As the founder of Anijie Global Foundation, a youth-led NGO in Ghana, Maudlyn has spearheaded numerous initiatives, from educational tours to donating educational materials to marginalized communities, supporting young women's financial independence through vocational training, and distributing menstrual kits to combat period poverty. These initiatives have had a tangible impact on the community, empowering and benefiting over 100,000 women and youth as agents of change since 2019. The organization is also noted for organizing the annual African Youth Gender and Climate Conference (AYGCC).
